At A1 Kids we aim to provide a home away from home environment
where children learn to love to learn. We take pride in our respectful, warm and welcoming learning environment which encourages children to learn through free play. These play opportunities help children develop their imagination, creativity and develop to their fullest potential as well as enhances their emotional, physical, intellectual and social skills, in other words, their ‘holistic development’.
About A1 Kids Childcare
A1 Kids is a small privately owned childcare centre where children 2-6 years of age feel cared for and where families can feel relaxed, supported, and involved. Being a small centre, we assure your child gets the attention and care they need to develop and grow to their fullest potential. Located just minutes away from the town centre on George Street, we are open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday and offer full as well as sessional care for all children.

The first step to becoming a part of our family is to complete an application. Our online application can be downloaded here.
You may also contact the centre and we will happily mail you an application. Parents are always welcome to schedule a tour at our centre and fill out an application on-site. Please call 09 2378111 for more details.

A1 Kids Fee
2-6 Year Olds:
Free 30 hours
Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm
(Early drop off and late pick up, cost $5 every 15 minutes)
Full Time: Monday- Friday 7.30am-5.30pm $120/week

Our Team
We have a team of qualified and registered teachers who bring a richness of knowledge, culture and uniqueness to the centre. Our stable team have a strong relationship and connect well both professionally and personally. The long-term relationships of the staff have created a calm, harmonious and nurturing environment. The children feel secure and supported by their teachers both emotionally and within their learning journeys.
All the teachers at A1 Kids:
• Are qualified and registered.
• Hold current first aid certificates.
• Have a commitment to ongoing professional development
Teachers to Children Ratio:

We offer 1-7 maximum teacher to children ratio to ensure the quality care, it is much higher than the legal requirement of 1-10.
